The 3rd Annual Pirate Party at Island Thyme Bistro

March 31, 2008

Salt Cay, Turks & Caicos:

The 3rd Annual Pirate Party at Island Thyme Bistro was a resounding success. Pirates from around the world arrived by boat, plane and buggy to attend this annual Salt Cay event.

The Event began with Mrs. Patricia Simmons judging the first annual Deviled Egg Competition. The winner of this highly coveted award was Mrs. Kim Schultz.

The Pirate Costume Contest was judged by the reigning Pirate Queen, Ms. Cindi Nathans and the past Queen, Marilyn James.

The winners of the 2008 Pirate Costume Contest are as follows:

1st Place: Sharon Herwin

2nd Place: Rochelle, Salt Cay’s Environmental Health Officer

3rd Place: Carolyn Dickenson, District Commissioner

Grand Prize~Pirate Couple: Don & Donna Shope

Later in the evening the Pirate Queen named her King: Mr. Levi Liverpool from South Africa.

The “Pot Luck” dinner featured Filipino suckling pig roasted by Mr. Allan Paul Bruno from Davo in the Philippines. Culinary delights from exotic cuisines were brought by the reveling pirates, each proud to showcase their signature dish.

Make plans now to attend this annual event next year. The Party will be held March 28, 2009 at Island Thyme Bistro on Salt Cay.
